Backstory
Before he was born, his father, a Hyur gleaner from Sharlayan (originally from Doma), met his mother, a moon Miqo'te in Ala Mhigo. After the usual period of courtship, they eventually wed. As the oppression of Garlemald continued to choke Ala Mhigo, the couple returned to Sharlayan, wanting their child to not be born under wartorn skies. Blake was then born and raised as a Sharlayan citizen, though he never forgets the heritage he gets from his parents.As a Sharlayan student, Blake studied the ways of the Sage. He was a notably proficient student and enjoyed studying the arcane arts.Blake was 15 years old when the Seventh Umbral Calamity struck while he was visiting Eorzea with a student delegation. While he forgets the details of the event, he can't help but remember brief glimpses of the ordeal. At first, he was terrified of Bahamut and the reckless obsession of Garlemald but then his curiosity began to take hold. His fear turned into obsession as he began fervently studying the nature of Dalamud and its Allagan creators.He began studying all he could about Allag, eventually coming upon an old tome regarding the Allagan royal bloodlines. As he was reading the final entry, his world began to spin and his head pained him immensely. He began having a vision of an ancestor retelling the tale of their bloodline, how those descended from the Allagan royal family spread throughout the continent, some even leaving the continent entirely. Once he awoke out of the vision, and verifying that it wasn't a simple fever dream, he slowly came to the conclusion that he was potentially descended from Allagan royalty. Researching what had happened to him, he discovered he had the ability known to scholars as the Echo, though he could find nothing on its origins as knowledge on the subject was sparse.At the age of 18, Blake completed his education and left Sharlayan to travel through Eorzea. He arrived in Limsa Lominsa and joined the Arcanist Guild to further his personal studies. During this period, he assisted a few groups of adventurers in taking down various primals that were summoned. He eventually joined an expedition to the Crystal Tower, and during the expedition, he discovered a peculiar soul crystal, detailing the practices of Allagans who used summoning magics to channel the power of the primals. Believing this to be more than mere coincidence that he was the one to discover it, Blake took up the art wholeheartedly.At age 20, deciding to further his research, he began making his way to Idyllshire. Along the way, he was unfortunate enough to be in the area when the spider primal Shologo was summoned. Not prone to wanting a primal to run free, he joined up with a group of Adventurers to take Shologo down. He would then become one of the founding members of the Dawn Vigil, alongside the Adventurers he met.
Personality
Blake's most profound personality trait is his thirst for knowledge. He views knowledge as the most valuable asset one can have. His thirst for knowledge supersedes all other motives.To outsiders, Blake can appear cold and analytical, but he does warm up once you get to know him. He can get quite cheerful when he wants to be.Blake views killing as a necessary evil. He despises torture due to the suffering his family felt at the hands of Garlemald, and looks down upon those who think it would work for information gathering.Blake is known to be somewhat reserved as to what knowledge he gives out due to his Sharlayan upbringing. Until recently, deliberately sharing knowledge that only Sharlayan has awareness of was seen as treason.Blake has a hidden yet burning hatred for Garlemald. Both of his parents' homelands suffered under Garlean rule, and it was Garlean schemes that caused the Seventh Umbral Calamity and the suffering that swept over Eorzea. His hatred simmers after assisting in relief efforts in Garlemald.

I'm usually open to most kinds of RP, though things might vary. I'd prefer if things were planned out before things begin.I also prefer RP partners to be 18+ in case any... intimate scenes happen.
If ERP does end up looking like it'll happen, I will only do it with male partners.I also do RP via Discord, so if you're interested just ask for my tag.I don't really like doing RP combat via rolls and all that as I feel leaving things to chance can mess with character development. I'd prefer combat situations to be planned out and played accordingly.
